Master Movers is a family-run team of furniture removalists working in Mount Eliza and across the Mornington Peninsula. Our depot is on Yuilles Road in Mornington, about ten minutes down the Nepean Highway, so we’re not driving up from the city to get to you. We’re in Mount Eliza four or five days most weeks, and there aren’t many streets in 3930 we haven’t backed a truck into at some point.

That matters more here than in a lot of suburbs. Mount Eliza is full of long driveways, steep blocks and big established gardens, and a removalist who hasn’t worked the area tends to find that out the hard way on moving day.

Removalists who know the streets

The run down to Daveys Bay Road and Canadian Bay Road is a good example. Those driveways drop away fast, they’re often narrow, and a loaded 10-tonne truck simply can’t get down some of them. We know which ones need a smaller truck to shuttle up to the road, and we bring one when the job calls for it. Same story on the tighter bends off Sunnyside Road and around Earimil Beach.

Up around Ranelagh Estate the homes are older and the staircases are narrower than they look. Wardrobes, bed bases and three-seater lounges usually need to come apart rather than be forced. Our crews carry tools and do that as part of the job.

The newer parts of the suburb are easier going. Around Kunyung Road, Wooralla Drive, Jacksons Road and Baden Powell Drive we can usually park close and get straight into it, which keeps the hours down.

Packing. We can pack the whole house, or just the awkward parts. Kitchens, glassware, artwork and wine collections are the ones people most often hand over, and we’ll bring the boxes, paper and bubble wrap with us.

Storage. Settlement dates rarely line up neatly, especially on the bigger Mount Eliza sales. We have storage nearby, so your furniture stays on the Peninsula rather than sitting in a warehouse an hour away.

Office and commercial moves. We move businesses in and around Mount Eliza Village and along Mount Eliza Way, usually after hours or over a weekend so nobody loses a trading day.

Bulky and awkward items. Pianos, pool tables, safes, outdoor settings, spa covers, gym equipment. If it doesn’t fit in a box, it’s still our problem, not yours.

Every job we do is backed by our insurance. That’s the paperwork side. The practical side is blankets on the furniture, floor runners through the hallway, padding on the door frames and shrink wrap on anything upholstered. We’d rather take the extra ten minutes at the start than explain a scratch at the end.
