Seaford removalists who know the suburb
Seaford is one of the easier suburbs on this stretch to move in, and it’s worth saying why. It’s flat. There are none of the steep driveways and hillside blocks that make Mount Eliza and Mount Martha awkward, which usually means the truck parks close, the carry is short, and the job comes in quicker than the same house would further down the Peninsula.
Where it does get tight is near the foreshore. The streets running down toward the beach are narrow, and through summer the parking fills with beachgoers by mid-morning. If you’re moving from one of those streets, an early start makes a real difference. We’d rather book you in at 7am and be loaded before the beach traffic arrives than fight for a spot at eleven.
The railway line splits the suburb east to west, and getting a truck across at the wrong time of day costs you more than people expect. We plan the route around it rather than discovering it on the day.

The housing here falls into a few types and each moves differently.
Original weatherboards and beach shacks. Plenty of the older Seaford stock is compact with narrow hallways and small doorways. Modern furniture wasn’t designed for it. We take doors off hinges and dismantle beds, wardrobes and lounges rather than forcing anything through and marking the walls.
Newer townhouses. Infill development has gone up all over Seaford in the last decade. They usually come with shared driveways, no on-street parking and a body corporate that wants notice before a truck turns up. Give us the address when you book and we’ll work the access out beforehand.
Units near the station. Blocks around Seaford and Kananook stations often need a lift booking or have a single access point. We’ll tell you what to arrange with the building manager, and we bring lift padding either way.
The bigger blocks. East of the highway you get larger family homes on decent land, often with a shed and a garage full of things nobody has looked at in years. Worth walking through those with us at quote time so the truck and crew are sized right.

On the day of the move, David, Cam and Reyen turned up right on time and set to work quickly and carefully loading our belongings into the truck. We weren’t as organised as we would have liked but they made us feel like nothing was too much trouble, they asked for (and listened to) instructions where needed, and are a very friendly and capable team.
All in all the move was done and dusted in 5 hours and our personal effects were handled with respect and care. While we hope not to require their services again any time soon, we know we’d be in great hands if we did.
